Edinburgh University Press

Founded in the 1940s, Edinburgh University Press is the premier scholarly publisher in Scotland of academic books and journals and one of the leading university presses in the UK. Books and journals published by the Press carry the imprimatur of one of Britain's oldest and most distinguished centres of learning and enjoy the highest academic standards through the scholarly appraisal of the Press Committee. Shortlisted for the inaugural Saltire Publisher of the Year Award in 2013, EUP has successfully integrated Dundee University Press's books into our publishing programme for 2014. Recent expansion in the Editorial and Marketing teams has required a move to new premises where we continue to grow our core book and journal lists.

We are committed to furthering knowledge and making innovative and rigorous scholarship available to the widest possible readership through our range of research publications. These include scholarly monographs and reference works as well as materials which are available on-line. The Press also plays a prominent educational role by providing stimulating, well-designed textbooks for students and lecturers.

The Press seeks excellence in its chosen subjects combining high quality scholarship and commerciality to produce academic works of lasting value.
